It's not the easiest to interpret. And isn't really meant to be understood.

A Critique For Those Not Living

I lie to make myself better for you,
Because I am not enough.
I try to suppress my emotions,
For these feelings are just too much.
I cover myself in this shadow of doubt,
To possibly conceal myself from your antipathetic ways.

I am you, with all of my strength I fight.
I am you, with every tear that I cry.
I am you, when I struggle to get away.
I am you, I am your shame.

The depression I mask behind is simply a facade.
Why must you perceive my deception wrongfully?
The darkening attire, a dreary moon on Hallow’s Eve,
I am such a damsel in distress,
Oh please come and save me.

I do not please my surroundings,
Being I am so full of teenage angst.
I need your saving, I need your worshiping,
I need closure;
Conformity, seal my fate.

I am you, with all of my strength I fight.
I am you, with every tear that I cry.
I am you, when I struggle to get away.
I am you, I am your shame.

Perhaps if I was bare,
We could both be of difference,
Perhaps if I was pure,
We could both be equals.
Perhaps if I was intelligent,
My creations would make sense.

I am you.

A misinterpretation,
Of the slice upon my soul,
A suicidal thought, perhaps?
Or an assumption of many who just do not know.

I am you.

Open your eyes,
You are me too.
